Guide Service

Captain Brad is a Coast Guard licensed captain, who is insured and licensed to operate in North Dakota and Minnesota. When you fish with Captain Brad not only will you enjoy a day of guided fishing on the Red River but you will learn how to catch Red River catfish on your own after your trip.

You will be provided with rods, reels, tackle, bait, and Captain Brad's vast knowledge of the Red River.  You should bring food, beverages, rain gear and don't forget the camera.

Trophy fish are to valueable to only be caught once, so I require that all fish over 24-inches MUST be released unless it is a state record.  Legal limits of fish under 24-inches may be kept but fish cleaning is not provided.

Red River Catfishing Packages

A Deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking.  Dates will only be held for 10 days without deposit.  Deposits can be refunded within 30 days of booking date.  Captain Brad reserves the right to move dates in case of dangerous weather or flood conditions.

*Twilight Catfishing

If you know anything about catfishing on the Red River, you know that early morning, evening, and night time are the right times.  I am the only red river catfish guide that offers a truly twilight trip to allow you to get in on fishing one of the hottest times of the day.  As the sun goes down the big cats come out to play and I want you to be there when they do.

Drayton, North Dakota Catfishing


Drayton, North Dakota has been dubbed the "Catfish Capital of the North".  A small community located about 40 minutes north of Grand Forks, the Drayton stretch offers a unique look of the Red River that is simlar only to the Canadian reaches of the River. Captain Brad is versed in the Drayton stretch, and can guide you to some giant Drayton, North Dakota channel cats.

Carp Fishing

Most Americans think of carp as nothing but trash fish but have you ever caught one?  They are amazing fighters and not that hard to catch.  The Red River has thousands and thousands of carp just waiting to be caught and I'm the Red River Fishing Guide who will put you on those carp.
